This will be our first time on Triumph so I can't answer ship questions, but I can tell you to just park at the pier. It's so easy. You pay, drive in and stop where the baggage guys are waiting (if you want to check in your baggage there. Be sure to have all of your cruise documentation ready because you have to show the baggage guys your room number if you don't have it on the bags) then go park and take elevator down to check in area. Be sure to get your cruise documentation out for this part also. You'll have to show it at multiple places. When I cruise out of NOLA on Carnival I always park at the port. When I went on Royal Caribbean or when I go no NCL I'll use another parking garage since they don't have one yet.
cortneyward Posted January 15, 2017 #3 Share Posted January 15, 2017 It's a great ship! I think you'll have Jess from the US as your cruise director also. We loved her. She's actually the first director we've even noticed. Try the Blue Iguana Cantina, open for breakfast and lunch. The Arepas and burritos are fantastic. We didn't have any complaints. Fulton Garage is just as easy and a lot cheaper than parking at port. Just google port of new Orleans parking and it should bring it up. I park on rooftop and I think online I pay 9 a night. They unload my luggage load on their shuttle and drop off at port charges are only tip!

Super easy and affordable. 👍🏻 Fascination was my first cruise and loved her! The Triumph will feel so much bigger than the other two ships you've been on. Definitely give Guys Burgers and Blue Iguana a try while on the ship. They were my favorite two places to eat. I don't know if it was the time of year, but when I went on the Triumph, it was extremely hard to find a chair, and it was definitely a "college booze cruise". It has scared me away from going on the Triumph again and made me nervous of 5 day cruises.

She's actually the first director we've even noticed. On topic: I didn't even know it was possible to use another parking. On both of my cruises, we had to park in the garage adjacent to the Erato/Julia St. terminal. Also both times, we carried our luggage on with us (and I would advise everyone who's capable to do the same, lest we get a repeat of the incident that resulted in the linked video above). I don't know if it was the time of year, but when I went on the Triumph, it was extremely hard to find a chair, and it was definitely a "college booze cruise". It has scared me away from going on the Triumph again and made me nervous of 5 day cruises. It really does depend on the time of year. My last trip was on the Elation during Mardi Gras in 2012, and the ship was so overbooked that we were actually moved up from an interior room to an ocean-view one. My friend Jonathan used to work at the Erato terminal, and could tell you all about this kind of stuff.
beach911 Posted February 20, 2017 #8 Share Posted February 20, 2017 This is my favorite ship and just went in December. I always stay on deck 7 and no issues at all. There are elevators and stairs that will take you straight up to Lido Pretty easy to navigate by day two. Only issue will be finding the dining room but once you figure that out it's pretty easy. We went Spring Break 2 years ago when she was in Galveston ... lots of Texas, Arkansas and Mississippi. There were lines to eat but never that long. Casino is wonderful. Hope you guys have a great cruise !!! Sent from my iPhone using Forums

The best part about the Triumph (IMO) is the Guy's Burger Joint and the Blue Iguana Cantina.:D Even my son, who is mostly a vegetarian, loves the burgers and I LOVE their breakfast tacos at the Blue Iguana. :D
