The Bluewater Highway Open!

The Bluewater Highway, the road that runs between Galveston and Surfside Beach/Freeport, is open as of yesterday! :D That road is the scenic route from this area to Galveston and a great shortcut for those of us that live in this area. It has been closed since Hurricane Ike hit last September and really tore the road into many pieces.

Is it re-paved? or is part of the road beach?
