Hi we are a family of husband wife and 5 children. We cruise alot with carnival. Atleast 2-3 times a year but this will be our first mediterranean cruise and we don't know which cruise line is best for us. They have same ports its just the cruise line. Please help as we have never cruise with either. I have read lots of review on both but still having hard time deciding

What did you like the most of the cruise?

Our kids ages summer 2015. 2,5,13,15,17

In the Med, the cruises are very port intensive, maybe one sea day on a 12 day cruise. So if you are spending 8-10 hours ashore, all you want to do when you get back to the ship is shower, eat, and go to bed to start over the next day. So the ship/line doesn't really matter. Only thing you might look for is which of the royal Caribbean ships has nursery, in case you want to leave your youngest for a few hours. None of the other lines in the Med will have a children's program for the under 3 set. EM

RCCL Allure has a tots nursery, which would allow you to drop off your two year old child if you would like to do so.

Please also note that the NCL kids clubs will be closed from 12-2, and 5-7 on sea days, which may not be a huge problem on the Med, since there won't be many sea days on your cruise.

I'm curious what you decided to do. We faced the same dilemma between these ships. The deciding factor was that we noticed the shower on Epic is in the bed area & has a frost glass door, where as Allure the shower is in an actual bathroom w/ a regular door. We felt more comfortable sharing a room with our young son on the Allure than Epic.
