reedprincess Posted February 25, 2015 #4 Share Posted February 25, 2015 Rediut Beach is about 20-30 minutes north of the pier, costs $30SU via taxi for up to three persons....beach chairs and umbrellas for rent, watersports, bars and restaurants.... Pigeon Island is another 10 minutes past, taxi runs $35us, and entrance fee is $6us. (national park). Snorkeling, hiking, restaurant, etc... Vigie Beach is walking distance from port, beautiful natural beach, but no facilities so to speak (ie no chairs or major restaurants, etc). Lots of natural shade, great swimming, and local rum shacks and food huts down near the entrance to the airport. St Lucia is not known for her beaches - this is not her strong point. Natural scenery, spectacular views, lush rainforest, Pitons - that's her claim to fame....consider an island tour where you see what makes her unique. Enjoy your visits.
