Alix Posted April 12, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 12, 2004 We're going home from San Diego and I would like to know the approximate time it takes to get from the port to the airport. The map says it's under 3 miles, which should make the transit time well under 30 minutes, however, this does NOT include the time it takes to actually get off the ship. So, if the ship docks at 8AM, could we make a 12noon flight? There are later flights that are OK, just with longer connections and later arrival. My mom still has a 4 hour drive to get home. madforcruising Posted April 12, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 12, 2004 The time for the drive from the port to the airport is a really short one. But I can´t answer your question concerning the noon flight as it depends on how fast debarkation procedure is and what time the ship is cleared by the local authorities. So all depends on what time you´ll get of the ship. academicdeluge Posted April 12, 2004 #4 Share Posted April 12, 2004 Concure. It takes minutes to get to the airport from the termnial even with traffic. Noon flight gives you plenty of time to spare. jkrislc Posted April 13, 2004 #7 Share Posted April 13, 2004 You should be fine. If it takes you more than five minutes to get to the airport, I'd be surprised. Even without priority disembarkation, you should be off the ship by 10:30 or 11A at the latest.
