Shuttle from SFO Cruise terminal to Airport

There will be 9 adults and 2 children ages 5 and 2 needing transportation from the Princess pier to the SFO airport. SuperShuttle wants us to rent 2 vans at $150.00 plus tip. Does anyone have any better ideas? :)

150$ per van ??? yikes...

maybe you can take bart? http://www.bart.gov/index.asp

you can get a cab to the embarcadero station and then get on bart to SFO...

im not sure how the cabs are at the pier. you might want to ask on here to see if anyone knows, we havent cruised out of SF since 2003

what about a limo?

There is a queue for cabs. I don't think any vehicle in the cab queue will accommodate 9 adults and two children. You'll need either two cabs to get to wherever it is you decide to go to get you the rest of the way, or arrange for something else larger ahead of time.

Although it is the cheapest option, I would not recommend BART for 9 people including 2 young children plus luggage. You will have to get from the pier to the BART station.

2 taxis (minivans) should be able to accomodate 9 plus luggage, but as Gilian posted, they are in a queue, and there aren't any guarantees you will get a minivan. Having arrangements with a limo like Melika wrote might be best for your family.

Supershuttle charges per person. Taxis and limos charge per vehicle.

Another thing to consider is that it's a mess outside the terminal (It's San Francisco after all, what do you expect?). You will have to contend with your fellow passengers getting off as well as passengers from the next cruise getting there to embark.

definitely do Bart, the subway runs about $5 pp, and it will take you to Embarcadero station which is a few blocks away from the pier, then take a cab

From Bart Embarcadero station to the pier is a good 20-25 minute walk, distance is probably 1 1/2-2 miles. It is flat and level and this is what I do but would also definitely recommend against it with 9 adults and 2 kids .

If is $150 total for the vans I'd say its a pretty good deal.
