Taxi to Cockleshell Beach

So i see where it is $28 ea way for up to 4 passengers to Cockleshell. My question is - will the driver wait until there are at least 4 people? Thanks.

About how long of a drive is it to this beach?

it is about 25-30 min if they do not stop for any photo-ops

Since it's a bit off the beaten path is it better to make cab pick up arrangements at time of drop off?

Went there a month ago. There seems to be a double-tier system.

If you want to go there and have the same taxi bring you back it is about the price quoted.

There is also a kind of shuttle service, using the same taxis, wherein they take you 1-way whenever the cab fills up to their satisfaction. For us it was $7 one way.

I don't know why they do it this way, but they do. Anyway talk to the taxi dispatcher at the port. You should be able to get it at the lower rate.
