Taxi cost from La Quinta Inn Airport to South Beach

We are thinking about staying at La Quinta by the airport as it has a complimentary shuttle from the airport, complimentary shuttle to the port and a complimentary breakfast. However, we would like to visit South Beach, but wasn't sure how much a taxi would cost or if it would be just as reasonable to stay at a more expensive hotel in South Beach. Any info would be appreciated.
