5280mom Posted August 20, 2014 #1 Share Posted August 20, 2014 We are on the Christmas cruise with RCI Independence of the Seas. We are a party of 7, including two young teens. What are the per person limits on these cabanas? They are available online and I can book if I can make it work for our group. Also, is there a better beach setting where we could rent chairs and umbrellas and just walk into the ocean? We are looking for a relaxing beach day at this port, sand and a great view would be a bonus.
flowers44 Posted August 21, 2014 #2 Share Posted August 21, 2014 The limit is 6 people to a cabana. Hillsides have been reported to be a bit of walk to the beach. There are hundreds of lounges and lots of trees for shade if you decide not to do the cabana. You can just walk around the area and decide where to establish your group. If you decide to book the cabana, just book it in one person's name and then the rest of your party will be allowed to get into the cabana when you arrive at Labadee. You may find an attendant that will allow the 7th person in. Everyone gets a wristband to get into the cabanas. The Nellies' Beach cabana no longer include the enhanced buffet. You would be eating at the regular buffet. About the only difference is no shrimp kabobs and no steaks, just hots and hamburgers plus the regular picnic foods. You can also rent float matts on the island. The cabanas come with float matts and bottle water in a cooler.
