Confusion about Taxi Price

Ok I keep reading different things about the cost of a taxi for 2 to Reduit Beach. I read $28 RT to $30 one way. Now thats a big difference and the answer will determine whether we go with or without a RCCL excursion. Usually the ship costs more but I'm confused over this trip. We've been to St Lucia numberous timesand saw most of the island so just want to beach it this time.. THANKS.:)

The gov't rate for licensed taxi operators is $30US for 1-3 persons one way to Rodney Bay from Castries/port. (usually dropped off at Spinnakers Beach Bar at Reduit Beach.). I don't know where you are reading $28US r/t - unless someone went with an unlicensed driver, who is pirating the route.

Just read on TripAdvisor that people are paying $14 round trip to this beach. I don't understand the discrepancies??:eek:

Did you check the date of the trip advisor post. I've noticed you have to watch the dates, some are quite old.

Assuming we could find another couple - what is the taxi fare for 4 people to Rodney Beach, please. Taxi fares seem to be quoted for 3 and I wonder what they charge for 4.
