Good cabin choices for the Conquest?

Recommended Posts

My husband and I stayed in 7361 a couple years ago on the valor (sister ship) and the grey area is a crew area. I think it is storage for housekeeping as we did hear noise early in the mornings so if you are lights sleepers this may not be the ideal location for you. We did not hear any elevator noise.

On the plus side, if you can sleep through a little banging outside your door, being mid ship on deck 7 is the best location imo. You are central to everything. Dining 2 floors down, lido 2 floors up and no long walks from one end of the ship to the other. Perfect!

I've stayed at that location near the elevations mid ship during my last two cruises on deck 7 and 6 the location was perfect ,this October on the Conquest I'll be on deck 7 again. Two decks up to the lido deck and two decks down to the casino bar.

I had 7345 (the 1A starboard next to the laundry room). It was a fantastic cabin, especially for a solo. I'd read people comment about lines of people in the hallway waiting for laundry or ironing boards and all sorts of noise.

I had absolutely no problem with any noise from anywhere other than the typical LOUD people walking down the hall giving no consideration to anyone else.

Those cabins are in a good, central location, too. I typically book one of the lower decks and take the stairs the entire cruise to help offset some caloric intake. Since I'm used to having to climb many stairs to get to the buffet (or anywhere), there were times I'd find myself up on Lido when I'd meant to go down to the Lobby! Oh well! Extra exercise helps! :p

Do you know if the laundry room is next to our room?

We are sailing on 10/5/14 and will be in cabin 7348 , we prefer any cabin on deck 7 since on most ships you have a deck between you and the noisy decks

But do be careful in the area around 7367 as the area across from here is a room service area.. this is the only noise issue on this deck
