POA Maui - Lahaina or Kahuluhi

I keep seeing references to Lahaina (which is where NCL went in 2003). Upcoming trip it shows Kahuluhi.

Is that the same place? Doesn't seem like it to me.....

Kahului is where the Pride of America ports, it's on the north side of the island. Lahaina is over on the west side.:)

Most of the other cruise lines use Lahaina, which requires tendering. At Kahului, which the POA uses, the ship docks at a commercial pier. There will frequently be the Sugar Islander (a bulk sugar ship) docked ahead of you there.
