which port in Costa Rica?

according to some research I've done, there are two places to dock in Costa Rica, Puntarenas, which is in center city, or Puerto Caldera, a commercial port. Our paperwork for the Panama Canal cruise states Puerto Caldera (Puntarenas)..... does anyone know which port exactly?

The majority of the time we have docked at Puntarenas.

A couple of times we were in the freight area as there was another ship at Puntarenas.

You really won;t know which dock you will be at until you get on the ship.

It can be either/or depending on conditions and other shipping. The two are only fifteen minutes apart by road
