From Air to Sea! Posted October 14, 2009 #1 Share Posted October 14, 2009 I was looking through a box that my mother had given me years ago and found a very old scrapbook that my aunt had made back in the 50's. Even though I've had it for a while, I have never really taken the time to go though it until now. There was an envelope that contained photos of my aunt when she went to Europe in 1955. One of the photos was taken in a ships cabin. Then I found her luggage tags from the Queen Elizabeth. She sailed from Cherbourg to NY. I think that it is so wonderful that I found this piece of my aunts history at this time since I just took my first cruise last year. It means even more to me now! Thanks for letting me share!:)

What a treasure trove you have there -belongs in a museum some day! Bear in mind it's already a half-Century old. I've got a few luggage tags left over from various(far more recent) cruises... I collect just about anything flat -including cruise cards. Hang on to what you have and please see that the material ends up in a Museum of some sort and not in a rubbish bin, after you and I pass on, when younger people will be sorting thru our "rubbish" .. . From Air to Sea! Posted October 19, 2009 Author #3 Share Posted October 19, 2009 Oh, don't worry - I am taking very good care of my new found treasures. Wonder what my future generations will think of all the stuff that I keep now from my cruises:)! I hope they appreciate it also.
dulcimergirl Posted December 28, 2009 #4 Share Posted December 28, 2009 If it was me, I'd have a shadow box built to fit, put in photo's enlarged, luggage tags, and anything else I could find. Wouldn't a menu be cool? Also include photo of your first cruise, something to think about.

If she was a cute English blonde coming to America to get married, I have her photo!
