Flying from Gatwick North

We are flying to the Caribbean to meet up with our old friend, the Thomson Dream, for the Caribbean Charms itinerary on the 23rd Feb.

I notice in the paperwork that reporting to the Thomson Cruise desk to obtain labels/cabin No, is required. Where is this situated?

Is it correct that once cases are relinquished at the check in desk, we will not be required to collect them from baggage reclaim in Barbados, but that they will be delivered to our cabin? In our previous experience, with Thomson Cruises, we have had to reclaim our cases ourselves, but they are then delivered to our cabin.

Seems like a good idea, but we like to know that our clothes have arrived with us!:)

It always says report to the Thomson cruise desk but you just join the check-in queue for your flight number. A Thomson rep will have a small table at the front of the queue and ask passengers if they are on the cruise. If so, you give your name and they will have luggage labels with your cabin number number on them. You fix the labels to your hold cases and yes, once checked-in you won't see them again until they arrive at your cabin. It makes your progress through Barbados airport very smooth so you are quickly on the coaches for transfer.

There are special arrangements for Caribbean flights (I think it's called bonded luggage) which doesn't happen for other destinations.
