Honbun Posted February 24, 2017 #2 Share Posted February 24, 2017 Try Segway Tours of Puerto Rico. So much fun, great way to see OSJ and informative guides.
leahlefler Posted February 27, 2017 #3 Share Posted February 27, 2017 We just returned and did a tour of the rainforest from 8 am to 1pm. Ours was a ship tour through RCI Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J320A using Forums mobile app
leahlefler Posted February 27, 2017 #4 Share Posted February 27, 2017 I hit send too early. The tour was a great activity, though not a beach. We went to the visitor center, walked a trail, went to an observation tower, and saw a waterfall. I know the are some independent excursions that might be within your time limits. Stinger-pr Posted February 28, 2017 #5 Share Posted February 28, 2017 I would recommend you look into tours of El Yunque rainforest or a beach day in the Condado or Isla Verde Area. The only hotel that is doing day passes (as far as I know) is the Marriott Stellaris in Condado. There are also "beach break" packages both for Condado and Isla Verde area but I have not used any of them so I cannot recommend. If looking to do some "off the beaten path" sort of things nearby, look into alternate activities (zip lines, horseback riding, ATVs) in places like Hacienda Campo Rico and Hacienda Carabalí. If you're into shopping and the stores in Old SJ are not your thing, there's Plaza Las Ámericas, a pretty big, multi-level mall located about 20 minutes from the pier with easy taxi access to and from it. You can also take the ferry across the bay into Cataño and take a quick 5 minute taxi to the Bacardi distillery and take part in one of their "tours". pdc2013 Posted March 1, 2017 #6 Share Posted March 1, 2017 Fishing or just go to the beach. Beach package the Marriot for a resort or Island marketings Beach break package which includes beach food and drinks. No pool or those type of amenities here. dancersp119 Posted March 1, 2017 Author #7 Share Posted March 1, 2017 Is the marriott near the port???
Stinger-pr Posted March 3, 2017 #8 Share Posted March 3, 2017 Is the marriott near the port??? The Marriott Stellaris is about 10-15 minutes from the piers. A quick $12 plus tips for up to 5 people, per trip (not per person) taxi ride. Lots of taxis available at the Marriott for your return trip.
