Kobayashi Posted November 13, 2014 #1 Share Posted November 13, 2014 I just finished packing for a cruise on Saturday and have decided to take less stuff and do laundry during the cruise. My questions are: Do the laundry machines take quarters or S&S cards? Are individual detergent boxes sold and does this also require quarters or a S&S card? Rather than doing the laundry myself can I have this laundered and how much is it and what's the turnaround time? Thanks!
phillyphil001 Posted November 13, 2014 #2 Share Posted November 13, 2014 Laundry is standard commercial machines. They take S&S cards for the washer and dryer. $3/ load Detergent, Fabric Softener, Bleach etc. are also $3 charged to the S&S card.

Here is a good chart about the laundry service on different ships. http://www.cruisecritic.com/articles.cfm?ID=1614 On ships that offer wash and fold, I seem to remember there was also one day that they would do one bag of laundry for a fixed cost. I don't know if they still offer that one day special. I think it was on the last sea day.
SadieN Posted November 14, 2014 #4 Share Posted November 14, 2014 (edited) There are $15/bag specials on the Miracle. Usually in by 9:00 back by turndown same night. Only send sturdy clothes, nothing delicate. Edited November 14, 2014 by SadieN

HawksFan74 Posted November 14, 2014 #6 Share Posted November 14, 2014 Just off the Miracle last week. The machines take quarters only - no S&S cards. Washer and dryer were $3.00 each. Detergent was $1.00 per box. Choices were All and Surf, I believe. I got quarters from the change machine in the casino.
