Pre-cruise miami hotel

Could you give me some good ideals for a pre-cruise hotel in Miami that offers a shuttle to the port?

I recently (Oct. 2008) stayed at the Holiday Inn because it was close to Bayside Marketplace and to the pier. No shuttle, but cab fare to the ship was just $10.

We too are staying at the Holiday Inn - Port of Miami. It was recommended to us by a few folks.

We're also at the Holiday Inn.

A week from tomorrow, WOOOOHOOOO!!!! Now just have to find a good "tiki bar" to pass the time at!!

There aren't any hotels near the port that offer a shuttle to the pier. There are some shuttles offered from airport hotels. Since it's only 10-15 dollars to the pier from the downtown, look at the Intercontinental of Holiday Inn and cab it. Or look at the surrounding areas. Is the shuttle a must for you and why?
