We recently discovered that WS was having a sale, and had reduced the price of a cruise we had booked almost a year ago. We contacted our travel agent, and the price of our cruise was adjusted (down!) to the tune of over $1700!

Just reading this thread, I had to add two comments:

1. Upgrade for prior customers at sailing?? Ha! (Or at least, "Really? I never heard of that.")

Two data points - Surf this fall. Booked into least expensive category. Checked with the desk when boarding and was offered either a free single deck upgrade or a suite for something like $1,200. We took the free upgrade.

Sailing on the Pride in a couple weeks. Heard last night that we'd been upgraded from S to S3. No idea why - I guess either the ship is empty and they're clearing out an entire deck or they're selling S cabins well and are moving some people up. I'll still try for an even better cabin when we board.
