Did I buy the wrong cruise guide book?

I saw on these boards that people recommend the Alaska Cruise Handbook, a Mile by Mile Guide by Joe Upton, and I bought that book/map set. Now I have recent Princess Patters from the same cruise I will be on next June (round trip from Seattle through Glacier Bay), and that mentions the Alaska Cruise Companion Book. Is that a different book? I do want to be able to follow along on the notes from the ship navigator. Your advice is appreciated.

They use a book by Rachel Cartwright. Here is an old edition:

Joe Upton has a few Alaska books and they used to use his books years ago. I believe his book was called a Cruise Companion also.

Last I knew, it was only available on ship. Maybe it has changed.

The book you bought is still very informative. You should be able to follow with it.

Coral, doing a search for a newer edition didn't bring up much so I am grateful that you came back with more info. I will wait until we are on board and, perhaps, don't even need it.
