Motel 6 In Galveston

Anyone ever stayed at the Motel 6 in Galveston?

I've read some bad reviews, but wanna here from CC. Also, was it hard getting a ride to the port from it?

It's a place to crash. And sometime not inexpensive.

We live a couple of hours from Galveston. Our daughter and son-in-law stayed at the Motel 6 there about 4 years ago. They said they wouldn't stay there again. There are several nice places to stay in Galveston though. When are you sailing?

Thanks! We sail out on October 16, so we plan on staying there the night before (15 Oct).

we have stayed at Comfort Inn in Kemah area. Continential Breakfast in mornings. Kemah is a great little down with nice boardwalk/shopping areas with Restaurants too and it is cheaper there than in Galveston. About a 30 min drive to port Sunday Morning
