BEST (???) Tour in Seattle?

I have been to Seattle a few times on business (shows at the Paramount) and love the city. But I am taking my mom and she has never been and I want to show her the BEST Seattle tour there is. Seattle will be as important to her as the Alaska cruise! We are staying at the Fairmont Olympic. I plan to take her to tea there when we get checked in then I want to take her on a tour of the city. Who has the best tour??? I really just need one that shows all the areas of town with a few stops. I plan to take her back to Pike Place Market afterwards and to dinner at my favorite place, Wild Ginger.

If you search Seattle city tours there are several companies with a varying degree and level of tours, all depending on your interests and length of time

If I had visitors in town and had 3 to 6 hrs to do a car tour I would go: (My apologies to all the other great places I left off the list)

Downtown to Fremont to

Ballard -(Locks, Shilshole Bay) to

Greenlake - (drive around the lake) to

University District - (University Washington,

Arboretum) to

SR 520, Lake Washington Floating Bridge to

Medina to

Bellevue - (Bellevue Square shopping mall) to

Mercer Island to

I 90, Floating Bridge to

West Seattle Bridge to

(Hamilton Viewpoint, Harbor Avenue, Alki point, to Beach Drive) to

Back to West Seattle Bridge to

1st Ave & Spokane St - to

Safeco Field and Quest Field to

Pioneer Square to

International District to

Snake through Downtown to

Capitol Hill (Broadway Ave, Volunteer Park) to

Downtown.

This is not a weekday, afternoon tour - traffic here is a killer.

We absolutely LOVED the Underground Tour in Pioneer Square. A very informative guide will entertain you with Seattle's colorful history, and take you "beneath Seattle's sidewalks." Easy to get to if you are going to Pike Place Market. This is a very popular tour and they do not take reservations. I suggest you get there first thing in the morning and take the first tour you can buy tickets for. Well worth it!
