Maps/Books for our Paris to Prague River Cruise

We will be doing the Paris to Prague trip on Viking next June. This trip will take us on the Moselle, Rhine and Main Rivers as we make our way to Nuremberg. I understand we will be passing by many towns and castles along the way. Can anyone recommend books or maps that will give us information of the names and maybe history of the castles we will be passing as well as the towns.

There is a great book called Castles on the Rhine - From Mainz to Cologne. In full colour with descriptions (Englische Ausgabe) by Renate Rahmel Wilhelm Avenarius (Jan 1, 2004) that is available on Amazon. We used it on our cruise.

It is $20 new, but there are used ones available also

I don't know if Viking provide a book but when we did this itinerary with AMA, they gave us a book with all that detailed info. Scenic Tours also provided a book for us for the AMS to BUD trip and this years in the south of France.
