I've been on the sidelines watching but I just jumped into the pool.

There are two distinctive advantages of waiting until the last moment to book:

1) At times you get very very good deals

2) My cruise countdown clock is very short!!!

I'm in a studio as well.

See everyone onboard Sunday.

i've stayed in a studio three other times and it's a great way to meetup with other solo travelers looking to have dinner, plan activities etc.......I usually have sailed with my crazy solo/singles group but the gf wasn't so keen on the idea so this a happy compromise as traveling solo is the best way to travel!!!!!

Guys

I just upgraded my studio to a family balcony for $95

I know I'm still allowed to attend the group gatherings

I'm curious if they'll give me key card access as I've heard both yes and no to this question

If they don't give me access to the studio lounge on my keycard can someone please prop the door open for me?

Hi Margie,

I am not in studio but an out side cabin. NCL says lounge is for studio cabins only. Pretty lousy! I saw you are into photography. I work for a photo store. We'll l talk on board see you Sunday.

Hi Elliot

I thought that you were able to join us at studio lounge if you were traveling solo even if you are not in studio cabin. We had others join us last time.e I was there.

As for photography it's not professional, just for fun.

Make sure you have your beads when you get to port. I have mine!

Don't forget costume.

See you Sunday!! I will be there early.

elliott,

we can definitely get in the lounge for the get togethers.

I'm just unsure if we can get our cards coded as I've heard yes and no on that one....

The NCL official handbook says no but I've heard unofficially it can happen.

Sketch

I haven't preplanned anything yet

This is my third time on Breakaway and from experience you can usually book any restaurant once onboard as long as you are flexible.

One small tip...

The cirque show and dinner is really good and if you care about saving a few $$$ book that the first night showings as you get a 25% discount

Hi Margie,

Did you or anybody make reservations for any of the specialty restaurants, shows, or excursions?

What do you have planned for ports?

Margie,

I booked Burn the floor, The Second City and Rock of Ages. I did not book any excursions or any dinner reservations as of yet. Considering the Cirque show. I guess will play it by ear when on board. Still looking for Halloween Costume.

Hello, hope you all enjoy your cruise- just got off the same ship this morning it was a great cruise! Please note that on the 11th floor you could enter the studio lounge near 11172 (balcony I upgraded to)

Shelia is an excellent studio host. She planned activites for us and got me a cake for my birthday :)

Thanks for the info Howard.... I stumbled upon the studio access from the 11th floor as I'm in here now watching football.

My room was changed but my key hasn't worked for my old cabin, my new cabin, or the lounge.

I'll get this figured out after mustering

I might go back the same week next year (it does Bermuda in October) but book last minute. I thought vs last year the food (and nothing wrong with it last year) was improved. Having repeated the ship I skipped the shows, but did the Wine Lovers show yesterday. It was after Bingo which ran late.

For $25 the show isn't bad but I was able to get a nice amount of extra wine :)
