catawbakru Posted October 29, 2014 #1 Share Posted October 29, 2014 We arrive in Aruba on New Years Eve via Carnival Freedom at 2:00 pm. We depart at 11:30. What would you recommend we do during this time considering the sun sets at 6:30? I have my wife and two kids (age 13 & 14) traveling with me. Is it worth a day pass to Occidental? cb at sea Posted October 29, 2014 #2 Share Posted October 29, 2014 The beaches are free and public...so you don't NEED to pay a hotel to have a beach day! Have you researched Aruba? That's the place to start! Get a guidebook!
mrpayroll Posted October 30, 2014 #3 Share Posted October 30, 2014 I would not spend the money for day pass due to the limited time ( daylight ) you will have.

Hatteras51 Posted October 31, 2014 #5 Share Posted October 31, 2014 I would spend the afternoon on the beach and go out to dinner. It would be a good idea to research restaurants on some of the threads here, and make a reservation. Everything will be really busy that night.
