When you get here, pick up a copy of Gambit, a free local newspaper.

It will list all of the Christmas activities.

Just about all of them are centered in the French Quarter, or very close by, so everything is within easy walking distance.

We cruised the first week of Dec out of NOL and got into the middle of what they call the "Santa Run"....everyone was dressed in santa costumes...lets just say that quite a few of them left nothing to the imagination...some of them had the rear cut out and they were bare to the world...the "ladies" had very low cut and short santa dresses on.....you could hardly walk down the street with the crowd of Santas...one guy came up to my DD and got right in her face and said HO HO HO....she looked at him and said "yes, there are a lot of them around here"...lol....

We have been in NOLA at Christmas twice now and seen the Santa Run. Um....yea, not too family friendly, but funny none the less. There's a LOT of drunkenness during this time.

Everything is beautiful at Christmas time there. The hotels/lobbys are all decorated, the palm trees and streets.

Be sure to check outHarrah's Fulton Street Walkway. They decorate it all up and have a santa, crafts, a giant Christmas tree, reindeer and all kinds of stuff. It's free to go to and across from the casino.
