Big Beards Half-Day Sail

Wondering how much time we will have to do some sightseeing or shopping after the half-day trip to Buck island. What time do you get back to Christiansted and how long does it take to get back to port? Trying to decide between full or half day sail, both look great!

Well from the pier to the big beard dock on the boardwalk is about 30-40 minutes in a taxi. The half day sail is about 4 hours and you can choose a morning or afternoon trip so you'll have plenty of time to do other stuff.

Thanks! I decided on the half-day sail so we would have time to check out the sights on our way back to port. Any suggestions for places to eat or things to see in Christiansted or on the way back to port? We don't have to be back on board till 5:30.

Sure! Stroll the boardwalk around Big Beards, lots of great places there.

Angry Nate's or Rumrunners for food, Purple Papaya for souvenirs, Baci for jewelry and cigars.

We have to be back on ship at 5:30 as well. What time is the half day over? More than enough time to get back to the ship?

I'm guessing we should be done by 1:30 ish if we leave at 9:30 and it lasts 4 hours. Gives us time to wander around a bit, maybe ask our taxi driver to show us some of the sights on the way back to port
