Short day in Skagway - time for 2 excursions?

We will be in Skagway from 7am - 4.00pm. For those that have been there and done that, do you think it's reasonable and realistic to do the 3.5 hr Chilkoot tours train and bus in the morning (7.30 - 11am) and then Ocean raft Alaska at 12pm, which is 2.5 hours (12 - 2.30pm). We need to be back on board by 3.30 so it all looks fine in theory. If the bus is punctual getting back and everything is close by (?) I assume it would it work fine, (and we would still have an hour at the end for a quick wander around town). Ocean rafting we would book through the ship so no worries about being late. Thanks for any advice

Yes, you have time for both tours, but with any independent, fully disclose all your touring plans, and verify the schedule with them.

As BQ says, you should have time, but you won't have much time for lunch in between. You'll probably want to bring some prepackaged snacks (nuts, granola bars, etc.) to tide you over.

Thanks Sherry and BQ. True about lunch - I'll take some snacks, although missing lunch till we're back onboard for a snack at 3.30 might be a good mini detox after a few days on board!
