highseasally Posted July 7, 2014 #1 Share Posted July 7, 2014 We are on the Costa Mediterrania / transatlantic cruise in Nov. 2014 / diembarking in Miami on Dec. 11th. Can anyone tell us if the cruise ship has a shuttle to the airport and how much it is? Also, is there a "better" alternate way. Our flight is at 12:20 pm. (check -in @ 10:20 am for flight to Canada) All help appreciated! Heidi & Peter from Switzerland
Dancer Bob Posted July 8, 2014 #2 Share Posted July 8, 2014 (edited) Warning- disembarking from a transatlantic is very slow due to the number of people having to do US VISIT with US CBP, it causes a big traffic jam in baggage claim. Check with Costa regarding the earliest flight time they'll accept. I think 1220 will work but you might have to plan on a taxi. The port board should have fares, I think there is a flat rate to the airport. Edited July 8, 2014 by Dancer Bob
Brits 2006 Posted July 9, 2014 #3 Share Posted July 9, 2014 When we disembarked at Miami In March after our costa Cruise it took nearly two hours to collect luggage and go through immigration. You need to advise Costa well in advance of your flight time so they can arrange for you to disembark first. Taxis are outside and charge 25 dollars to the airport which would be your quickest option.
