Help me decide

I'm trying to decide on a pre cruise hotel for this September in San Juan, and I'm torn between the Embassy suites and the Caribe Hilton. I like the Embassy suites because I've always had a positive experience with them at other properties and like the he idea of a free hot breakfast in the morning. I'm drawn to the Caribe Hilton because it looks like a beautiful property and is closer to the pan am pier. Please tell me which one you would choose and why. Thanks in advance :)

Try the La Concha you won't be disappointed.

The Caribe has nothing really around it. Beautiful grounds, but the hotel itself seems dirty. You would need a car or taxi to get around. Last time we stayed there, none of the taxis wanted to take us to the Pan Am pier because of the traffic congestion there.

Would you happen to know if the Embassynsuites has more around it?

Staying at the Embassy Suites in NOvember - and according to what I have read it definitely has restaurants and shops around it.

Thanks everybody for the quick responses. I think we're going to go with Embassy Suites since all we really need it for is a place to get a good night's sleep and a good meal before our cruise the following day :D
