Alert List??

Each travel insurance company has a published Alert List.

Here's my question.

We purchased insurance for an upcoming trip. The insurance company stated that they would not cover our flights on American due to Financial Default.

Now, when I went to their Alert List under Financial Default it list American from when they filed for reorganization. However next to the start date it had something to the affect of ( ends February 2013)

Now we just purchased the insurance. Travel Guard

Was there a misunderstanding as to if American was still uninsurable under the current policy?

You are asking a question that is specific to your particular insurance policy/company (which you have not mentioned). The only way to get an accurate answer to your question is to call or e-mail the particular insurer and ask the question. And its always wise to get any clarification in writing (via e-mail or snail mail).
