AAdvantage Award Trip Protector select

Hi, Has anyone experience with this coverage. I am planning on booking round trip nonstop flights on AA from DFW to Heathrow. I we have med insurance but would like to get a second policy just to help pay any deductibles. We will do one week of land touring then a Norway cruise on Celebrity.

I currently have a deposit holding the Celebrity insurance, that was booked more than a year ago that is supposed to be grandfathered to cover flights. It is quite a bit more expensive than the AAdvantge policy which is only $48 for two people, a flat rate.

Any help? What am I missing?
