British Isles this summer

Layers, including a water/wind resistant top one. Don't count on umbrellas keeping you dry, as you will be cruising the UK to I imagine several ports, at least one or two will have wind enough with their rain to render your brolly useless - eastern Scottish ports in general, Edinburgh/Inverness/anything in Orkney or Shetland Isles especially.

Depending when in the summer it might be pleasantly warm, akin to Florida spring/fall temps, but out on the water it's always colder plus you have the speed of the ships movement combining with wind to make for major drops in 'real feel' temps when cruising.

Port-specific statistical weather info is easily found - the Met Office holds easily-understood maps & tables with 30 year averages here.

Layers are key.

Also check the weather forecast a few days before the start of your travels to fine tune your packing.

Weather is variable and has changed quite a bit in the British Isles the past few years.
