Andy Posted August 23, 2014 #2 Share Posted August 23, 2014 (edited) I did not want to hijack another thread that mentioned Azamara turning some of their cruises into charters. Can someone explain what this is all about? Hi Dateacher, Azamara Quest will have a number of Chartered sailings during September-November 2016. As a result, many are waiting to hear what Quest's deployment will be during this timeframe, and what sailings will be open to the public. On another thread, Azamara posted the following information today : A deployment communication will be delivered to guests and/or their travel agents by Tuesday 26th August regarding the effected sailings of Sept - Nov 2016. The new itineraries will be live on our website by Wednesday 27th August. If you are asking why they are offering more charters ? This is only my opinion, but it's probable that Azamara feels they can make more money chartering the ship, as opposed to waiting to see what happens in 2016. I suspect this is an important year for Azamara, as their likely goal is to order new ships. Showing positive results, should get them closer towards that goal. If you have additional questions, feel free to ask. Hope this is helpful ! Edited August 23, 2014 by Host Andy
dln929 Posted August 23, 2014 #3 Share Posted August 23, 2014 (edited) It would appear that charters are well and truly integrated into Azamara's business model. Take a look.
