Help! Sending gift home

Need some help...anyone who has been to NOLA, while me and my 2 siblings are gone (8/25) it will be my moms Birthday! We though it would be a fun idea to have something shipped home while we are in New Orleans. So my questions are....what can we have sent, and Is there a post office near the port? We at flying in on sat morning. (What time do post office close on sat there?)

The closest post office to the port is the main New Orleans Post Office at 701 Loyola Avenue. According to the USPS website, the hours on Saturday are 8:00 am - 3:00 pm.

It is a fairly long walk from the port -- google maps puts the shortest walking distance at just over a mile, and my guess would be a difficult walk with luggage in tow.

Except for the cheap T-shirt places, most shops will ship for you.
