didicruiser Posted February 7, 2016 #26 Share Posted February 7, 2016 When we were in Russia, our guide at the Kremlin called it a "Shakespeare stop".... you know, to wee or not to wee?? (She was hilarious - truly added to our enjoyment of the tour!!). Fran When I was in China with Vantage, my PM called the WC "an opera house". We would let him know when we needed to....sing! Alberta Quilter Posted February 7, 2016 #27 Share Posted February 7, 2016 Alberta Quilter, thank you. I can't seem to send you a PM. Maybe I haven't posted enough? Did you like the Monaco tour? I have always wanted to go there. Guess I've watched too many movies, I suppose. I wouldn't mind seeing the casino but I'm not much of a gambler. I don't think CC allows PMing so it's not because you haven't posted enough. If you'd like to email me, you can at abq2013travels at gmail dot com. If it doesn't work, just let me know here. It's not an email account I use regularly (shouldn't have put the 2013 in!) so I might have mixed it up but I'm fairly sure I got it right. I was in Monaco in 2013, when on Med cruise. We did a private tour of Monaco, and St Paul de Vence, with a stop below Eze. We were supposed to go to Nice but there was a marathon that day and the market was closed as were many roads within Nice. We did not go to Monaco on this last trip. We did enjoy the tour very much but did not feel the need to go back a second time two and a half years later. However, it was that short taste of southern France that made this river cruise a priority for us. Viking will offer tours to Monaco; one, at least, is dependant on how many sign up. That tour was cancelled for our post cruise tour because not enough people signed up. It included a three course dinner which increased the cost significantly.
