What to do in Tampa before embarkation?

There have been recent issues with embarkation and disembarkation in Tampa and NCL has advised us not to get to the port until 1PM. We are driving down to Tampa the day before and spending the night, so we don't have any traveling to do the morning of the cruise. What is there to do in Tampa for the morning? I'd love to go to Busch Gardens, but I don't think it's worth it for just a few hours. I've heard hit and miss things with the Aquarium. Really just looking for stuff to do from about 8AM until 1PM. If you also know of anything to do at night in Tampa that would be great since we would arrive about 7PM the night before.

It will just be my husband (28) and me (26), so no children to worry about.

Dinner and drinks in Ybor City would be fun the night before - but I'd head for your hotel before about midnight, especially on the weekends (it tends to get crazy very late at night).

The next day I would just sleep in, enjoy a big breakfast some place, and be at the port aby about 11:30-noon.

Agree on the dinner and drinks in Ybor City. I do recommend the Columbian for dinner, it was wonderful, make reservations. Depending on where you stay you can take the trolley to Ybor City.

Agree about dinner & drinks in Ybor City and definitely at the Columbia Restaurant. The next day return and explore Ybor City in the daylight.

Considering that you will only have a few hours before boarding your other sight seeing options are limited.
