Westerdam Cruise Cancelled Due To Cartel Violence

HAL has cancelled ports in Mexico before due to cartel violence so it was a logical assumption to make. I choose to think so anyway.

 

Yep, HAL has been, and is currently, skipping calls at Acapulco, Guerrero due to elevated criminal violence there. Back in 2011, Mazatlan itself was cancelled for about a year and a half for the same reason until the situation there was deemed improved

If the worst case scenario is an overnight in PV- sounds good to me. We will be on the first Mexico cruise this season from Vancouver in late September and we are looking forward to it. I have 100% confidence that HAL wouldn't put us in harm's way and would err toward caution. Besides we'll have Copper on Oosterdam to keep us safe :)
