RIVER CRUISE Help

I am looking for a cruise that will take me near Berlin and Munich (concentration camps), near Salzburg, Austria (Sound of Music), and to Amsterdam. Does such a river cruise exist??

Nuremberg is one hour from Munich by train and you can easily visit Salzburg and also Dachau from there. We often stay in Munich when departing from Vilshofen or Nuremberg.

We love Berlin and it is our favorite city in Europe. Fly into Berlin and spend 4-5 days than train to Frankfurt - there are itineraries that depart from there as well.

We are doing a Highlights of Germany cruise wtih Avalon, which begins in Munich.

We are flying in two days early to see Dacau. We'll see Neuschweinstein during the land portion of the cruise and go to Passau to board the boat. On the way, we have the option to go to Salsburg and Nuremberg.

We end in Basel, but you could easily catch another cruise from Basel to Amsterdam.

With the exception of Berlin, that would meet your criteria. Berlin is not on a waterway (at least on the river boats cruise), so you might fly into Berlin, see that city for a few days, catch the train to Munich, then do your river cruises.

Would be a LONG trip tho....:o
