Sapphire or Coki beach?

I think we're going to go to Paradise Point and a beach this time. We always go to St John and thought we'd just hang out at a beach and snorkel. Been reading up on both beaches. Is the main difference in the two, Sapphire is a little more private or less people? We don't like to go to a beach that's crowded. Want a little shade, and a drink or snack close by would be nice. Can anyone that's been to both explain the main differences between the two?

Thanks!

Not sure why you posted this on the Caribbean - Other forum, you'll get more feedback on the St Thomas forum! You'll also find a ton of info on each beach there.

But yes, based on what you are looking for you will want Sapphire. We actually prefer Sapphire over Trunk and Cinnamon, most folks head to STJ and never experience the East End of STT. But Sapphire has everything you are looking for along with abundant natural shade and great snorkeling in the coral or seagrass areas. The Banana Cabana beach grill located between condo bldgs B & C serves an excellent mahi mahi sandwich, and you can get drinks there and at the dive rental center. There's also a restaurant behind the marina that has guy taking food/drink orders on the beach.

Gorgeous beach and island views!
