Boating around Miami

We are sailing out of Miami on sunday nov 12 on eclipse and are renting a boat to cruise around the harbour and down town the day before we go. Has anyone done this and do you have any advice. thanks

The Harbor and downtown are VERY congested and partially restricted to pleasure craft. As someone who kept a boat at Dinner Key Marina for 15 years, I would suggest exploring Key Biscayne and the stilt houses in Biscayne Bay, but local water knowledge is advised.
