MellieInWI Posted February 8, 2008 #1 Share Posted February 8, 2008 On my first cruise, I saw lots of people that had lanyards with clear, plastic pockets that they kept their cruise card in. Anyone know where to buy these? I tried by the luggage at walmart today, no luck. Ideas?
HPINE1 Posted February 8, 2008 #2 Share Posted February 8, 2008 Hi. You can buy them at Staples or Office Max. Wall-mart has them they are in the isles where the office supplys are at. Hope this helps. Henry

mytwokidsmom Posted February 9, 2008 #4 Share Posted February 9, 2008 I ordered some off someone at ebay. They have a ziplock top. I paid $5.56 for four of them. Fast shipping too. This person has some with lanyards as well. Do an ebay search "cruise id". The ones that I came across at office stores did not have the ziplock top. Good Luck! Jsipes Posted February 9, 2008 #5 Share Posted February 9, 2008 WalMart, in the Fishing Dept, Staples, or at any local convention. Perhaps you have a neighbor or friend who attends conventions. We always bring a bunch of those home for free...samples at booths:) Jer the Bear

KC_fn Posted February 9, 2008 #8 Share Posted February 9, 2008 When I sailed on Pride a couple of years ago, they were free for the asking. I think we got them at the pursers desk.
PennyAgain Posted February 9, 2008 #9 Share Posted February 9, 2008 I save mine from conventions and meetings. I attend one meeting every year where the badge holder is also an IPod holder and has a zipper compartment. Very handy if you don't mind wagging around the name of the sponsor. If you use the free cheapies, make sure the neck elastic doesn't come apart and cause you to loose your card.
bob brown Posted February 9, 2008 #10 Share Posted February 9, 2008 An alternate way is to ask the front desk to punch a hole in a corner of the sea-pass (away from the magnetic strip), and run a long key chain through it or attach to a lanyard. Easier to swipe through card reader at gangway, etc. than fumbling with a plastic pouch to extract.
SheilaNC Posted February 9, 2008 #11 Share Posted February 9, 2008 I agree with 'hole punch' idea. I save lanyards that I get at conferences and such and take them on cruises with me. Guest Relations staff always punches a hole and I'm set for the duration of the cruise.
Desert star Posted February 10, 2008 #12 Share Posted February 10, 2008 We just do the old hole punch thing too. They usually have a holepunch at the gift shop, along with lanyards of course. :D
