Rob_Jen Posted September 10, 2014 #1 Share Posted September 10, 2014 (edited) We are going to St Maarten in 2 weeks. We have been there a few times. Last time we were there we went to Orient beach on a tour and the beach was small and nothign great. I remember it allot bigger years ago. The tour stopped at Maho beach for a few minutes as well. We have 2 kids (9/6) and stopping at Maho beach would be fun again but want a nice beach to swim/play for the day. We have been looking at Mullet bay but trying to find out more. Does Mullet have a restaurant on the beach for food/drinks (beer)? If I am reading right there are only port-a-potties there. Any other beach worth going to? A better place at Orient as a fall back? P.S. - beer if for me not the kids. Edited September 10, 2014 by Rob_Jen

runner15km Posted September 12, 2014 #3 Share Posted September 12, 2014 Orient Beach is just over a mile in length. If you were dropped off at or near Pedro's the beach front is very narrow but if you walk up the beach some it gets wider. Some people like Great Bay and its just a 17 minute walk from the ship. bup1224 Posted September 14, 2014 #4 Share Posted September 14, 2014 Mullet Beach has Rosie's - best ribs on the beach (and yes they have beer there). We will be heading there on our port stop in just over 1 week!

We will be heading there on our port stop in just over 1 week! Do you take a cab to Mullet beach or the bus from back street….we are also sailing next week on Divina and are there on Tuesday 23….. bup1224 Posted September 14, 2014 #6 Share Posted September 14, 2014 You can take the van taxi right from the port or the local bus for $2.00 each way. Here is a thread with the exact directions on the bus. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2087364
