What beach? - Food/Drinks

We are going to St Maarten in 2 weeks. We have been there a few times. Last time we were there we went to Orient beach on a tour and the beach was small and nothign great. I remember it allot bigger years ago. The tour stopped at Maho beach for a few minutes as well.

We have 2 kids (9/6) and stopping at Maho beach would be fun again but want a nice beach to swim/play for the day. We have been looking at Mullet bay but trying to find out more.

Does Mullet have a restaurant on the beach for food/drinks (beer)? If I am reading right there are only port-a-potties there.

Any other beach worth going to? A better place at Orient as a fall back?

P.S. - beer if for me not the kids.

Mullet Beach has Rosie's - best ribs on the beach (and yes they have beer there). We will be heading there on our port stop in just over 1 week!

Do you take a cab to Mullet beach or the bus from back street….we are also sailing next week on Divina and are there on Tuesday 23…..
