daydreamer16 Posted July 18, 2014 #1 Share Posted July 18, 2014 Hi We are arriving in LA ( I guess San Pedro) at the end of a Panama Canal cruise in early March. We need a nice hotel near Long Beach airport for the night since we have any early flight back to NY. Thanks
Cruisin' Chick Posted July 18, 2014 #2 Share Posted July 18, 2014 Princess cruises usually end up at the Port of Los Angeles in San Pedro. Rarely does Princess use the Carnival berth (Port of Long Beach). You might want to do a search on BruinSteve's posts on Long Beach hotels and compare his recommendations to Google maps. H20mac3 Posted July 21, 2014 #5 Share Posted July 21, 2014 We have stayed for years at the Marriott right by the airport. They also have a free shuttle to the airport - just talk to the bellman by the door. In fact we were just there last weekend visiting grandchildren. Comfy beds, nice rooms, in the main restaurant breakfast is their best meal, room service is decent, the food in the newly revamped sports bar is decent but the service is slow - not enough servers. The lobby bar is lovely or you can sit out by the pool. There is also a Starbucks in the lobby. The Long Beach airport also has outside loading ramps - no covered gangways so you will have to roll or schlep your carry-on UP the ramp. Hope this helps!
