Transportation Manchester to Southampton

We will be sailing on Crown Princess Aug 18th Baltic Cruise and are wondering if anyone is aware of cruise line transportation from either Manchester Airport or downtown Manchester to Southampton cruise terminal ? When we were on a previous European cruise, also sailing out of Southampton ,some of the British travellers mentioned there was a scheduled coach pick up from various UK cities. Unfortunately have not been able to find where I can get more details on this?

It's easy to get from the airport to Manchester Picadilly via the metro system.

The only coach I find is this that takes 8 hrs http://www.thandicoaches.com/route13.html

I fly into Manchester to visit family so am familiar with the area :)

Are you arriving on the day of sailing.

Manchester Airport has a train station which is easily accesible from the airport. Just push your baggage trolley to the platform via the elevator. From there the train takes about 13 minutes to Manchester Piccadilly station. From there there are trains direct to Southampton Central.

Only one change of train required.

There are also direct flights from Manchester Airport to Southampton with Flybe. Be aware that you would have to pay extra for checked luggage.
