Silver Seas Beverage Package

If only Viking would let those of us who have already paid a fair price for the package have mini bar stocking this would be a moot point!

But then there is still room service server who brings breakfast or a wonderful cheese tray before dinner!!!!

Ok, we are not hard drinkers. However, we met the most amazing bartender on our trip and purchased the Silver Package. He took the time to teach us how to make drinks at home, exposed us to new variations of the drinks we would normally have in our home and generally was just a great conversation guy. The fun part is if you really didn't like the drink you were served, he would replace it.

If you are concerned about the cost, don't do it. There are lot's of beers and wine to choose from.

Note: the beer and wine were only served during dining hours. However, it seemed like there were very few hours in a day where they weren't serving someplace.

Lastly, I recommend an Irish coffee after the morning tours. We had rain one day, came back, grabbed one from the bar and waited for the rain to clear before we went out again. Priceless.

There is no charge for room service on Viking so some folks will tip the delivery person in cash upon delivery, considering this a service above and beyond, similar to the way you will give something at the end of your cruise to those who have been particularly helpful.

Yep! I bring a small envelope of ones just for these occasions.

Do both guests in the room have to purchase the package? My daughter doesn't drink alcohol at all.

Yes both buy the package but sometimes they make an exception. You can ask once on board
