sunlover5 Posted August 10, 2015 #1 Share Posted August 10, 2015 Got the dreaded email yesterday that there was a change in our flights to Miami. It wasn't a time change...they did away with the non-stop flight we had going home. Didn't want a layover since it was the Sat. after Thanksgiving and flying can be crazy then....the very nice lady said they were not doing non-stop anymore from Columbus and I said we can fly out of Detroit also....so no questions asked she changed our reservation. We are flying non-stop both ways now and even got premier seats on the way home for all 3 of us!! Very happy with the customer service. :D
Zach1213 Posted August 10, 2015 #2 Share Posted August 10, 2015 Not that I blame you for wanting to change, but I do find the Saturday after Thanksgiving to be a super easy travel day. I always try to fly home on the Saturday after Thanksgiving - the vast majority of the people wait until Sunday, so Saturday is often pretty quiet and relaxed (and often cheaper). Just my experience having traveled for Thanksgiving 10 of the last 12 years.
sunlover5 Posted August 10, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted August 10, 2015 Well that is good to know. I have not flown after Thanksgiving so it is good to hear that. Thanks.....but still glad we have straight flights and no layovers!!
HawksFan74 Posted August 11, 2015 #4 Share Posted August 11, 2015 I'm actually surprised that Delta would have a nonstop Miami to Columbus in the first place, as neither city is a hub for them.
