Bellablue Posted April 17, 2017 #1 Share Posted April 17, 2017 We are interested in renting a bungalow or bed when we are in cococay. for those that have been to the south beach area recently, how is the water? I recently read that it is extremely shallow and at times only sea grass is exposed. we are hoping to swim (or wade) near where we are so this would definitely be a deterrent. thank you! cb at sea Posted April 24, 2017 #2 Share Posted April 24, 2017 Depends on time of year..time of day, etc... Tides happen 2 times a day. Seaweed is tide driven, and usually seasonal. You will be able to wade. No worries.
