Cenote at Dzibalchultan

Not long ago someone posted a review of the Dzib ruins and said the cenote was closed when they were there. We love cooling off here after touring the ruins. Has anyone been there very recently (April 2014) who can tell me if it was closed? Anyone know why it was closed?

Some folks that were on our ship (very end of March) went and said it was open and all was well. There are some cenotes which were formerly open that are now closed as the result of feuds between adjacent villages. This one, however, is on national park property and has not been affected.

I was in there end of April 2014 and it was open. We took a dip but it was pretty deep and rocky. No stairs or railing or anything. Still fun.

There is a deep end and a shallow end where you can stand up in about waist-high water.
