lah66 Posted July 24, 2014 #1 Share Posted July 24, 2014 (edited) We are heading to Antigua in February. This will be our second time there. The first time we toured with Gordon and knew we wanted to go back to Nelson's Dockyard to spend more time. We also want some beach time and know that Galleon is just a short water taxi ride from the Dockyard. My question...is the water that gorgeous milky blue that we saw at Dickinson on our last visit? I was so intrigued..had never seen water that color blue. Supposedly Galleon is good for snorkeling so I assume the water is much clearer and won't be quite the same. If that is the case, maybe we will catch a different bus to Valley Church Beach after visiting the dockyard. Your thoughts? Thank you in advance! Lauri A few years ago we visited Deep Bay ( near Galleon) in the morning (crystal clear) and Dickinson in the afternoon ( milkier or less clear). The guys working at the watersports shack told us that Dickinson is like that in the winter until April.

We will have to return in February! Interesting that the water is only that color until April..I wonder why? Your answer solidifies our plans in Antigua! Now to figure out St Lucia....
